Seen Health, a healthcare provider reimagining aging, celebrated the grand opening of its flagship PACE center on Saturday, March 15. The event marked a milestone in expanding access to comprehensive, culturally tailored care for the region’s growing senior population.

Community Leaders Celebrate a New Chapter in Senior Care

Local and state leaders joined Seen Health for the celebration. U.S. Representative Judy Chu, California Assemblymember Mike Fong, and representatives from State Senator Sasha Renée Pérez’s office attended. Alhambra Mayor Katherine Lee, Councilwoman Noya Wang, Monterey Park Mayor Vinh Ngo, and San Gabriel Councilmember Tony Ding also participated. The Alhambra Chamber of Commerce and Astrana Health co-founders Dr. Kenneth Sim and Dr. Thomas Lam joined as well.

Congresswoman Chu praised Seen Health’s mission. “We have 12 million older adults in the U.S. struggling to find the care they need,” she said. “Seen Health’s PACE center is stepping up to this challenge.”

The event featured a ribbon-cutting, a traditional lion dance, and performances by children. Facility tours and remarks from the program’s first participant, Rongmei (Emma) Wang, rounded out the day. Attendees learned about Seen Health’s personalized, community-based approach to senior care.

A New Model of Aging With Dignity

The San Gabriel Valley PACE center began serving participants on January 1, 2025. The program supports adults aged 55 and older who qualify for nursing home-level care but prefer to live at home. The model emphasizes medical coordination, social engagement, and cultural relevance.

Over 300,000 seniors live in the San Gabriel Valley. Nearly one-third of them identify as Chinese-American. More than 17% of residents are over the age of 65. Seen Health addresses this need by blending clinical care with language access and community connection.

“We founded Seen Health to redefine what aging with dignity looks like,” said Xing Su, Co-Founder and CEO of Seen Health. “Too often, seniors—especially those in underserved communities—face systems that don’t reflect their needs or values. We build care around people.”

Blending Clinical Care With Culture and Community

Seen Health designed the new center for comfort, connection, and belonging. The facility features communal areas, natural light, and culturally familiar decor. Participants enjoy meals prepared with local restaurants and door-to-door transportation services. Activities include art classes, Mahjong, and tai chi.

“This isn’t just another senior care option,” said Co-Founder Yang Su. “We’re setting a new bar for what’s possible. Seniors deserve more than fragmented systems or nursing homes. We offer a real alternative—comprehensive, familiar, and made for them.”

The program centers on whole-person wellness. It celebrates identity and creates a space where seniors feel seen, heard, and supported. Seen Health’s San Gabriel Valley center reflects a new vision of aging—rooted in dignity, health, and community.

With this opening, Seen Health strengthens the foundation for a future where seniors can thrive at home, surrounded by care that understands and respects who they are.
