Mountain View High School Office Clerk III Belinda Mora has been honored as El Monte Union High School District’s 2025 Classified Employee of the Year. Known for her professionalism and quiet leadership, Mora was recognized during a special presentation at the May 7 Board of Trustees meeting. Mora has worked in the District for nearly 18 years.
Joined by family, friends, and colleagues, Mora was presented with a certificate of recognition, a commemorative award, and had her name added to the District’s permanent honoree plaque. Staff and students alike were thrilled to see Belinda Mora honored for her years of dedicated service and leadership.
A Career Dedicated to Service
Mora began her career at Mountain View as a guidance clerk. She later moved into attendance before taking on her current role as an instructional clerk, a position she has held for the past 15 years. In this capacity, Mora supports campus operations and administration in a broad range of areas, from coordinating CAASPP and CAST testing to maintaining the school’s master calendar.
She also manages logistics for field trips, disaster drills, guest speaker visits, and substitute coordination. Mora plays a key role in organizing school-wide events such as Open House, Back to School Night, and assemblies. She is the secretary for the Viking Leadership Council and supports the school’s Viking Rewards Program.
During the meeting, Mora shared her gratitude and emphasized that the recognition belongs to the entire classified staff at Mountain View. “We all work very hard and we all love what we do,” she said. “I would like to share this recognition with them.”
Impact Felt Throughout the Campus
Mountain View High School Principal Jose Bañas praised Mora’s contributions, saying, “She is very deserving of this recognition. We are not only recognizing what she does behind the scenes but honoring who she is and how she makes Mountain View a better place for all of us every day.”
Though not a Mountain View alumna, Mora has lived in El Monte her entire life. Her deep ties to the city and its schools have shaped her approach to service. Colleagues describe her as highly organized and calm under pressure, someone who always puts the needs of students and staff first.
Superintendent Dr. Edward Zuniga echoed these sentiments: “Ms. Mora exemplifies the professionalism, compassion, and dedication that define our classified employees. Her steady presence and tireless work have a profound impact on the school community.”
More Than a Job, a Community Role
Outside of school, Mora is a dedicated Los Angeles Dodgers fan. She recently chaperoned a student field trip to Dodger Stadium—an experience she described as unforgettable. Whether on campus or in the community, Mora remains committed to creating positive experiences for students.
Her recognition as Classified Employee of the Year reflects her lasting influence at Mountain View and throughout El Monte Union. Mora’s dedication continues to shape the school’s culture and provide vital support to students, staff, and administration.
With nearly two decades of commitment, Belinda Mora honored the values of professionalism and compassion that define the district’s mission.
