Valle Lindo School District Provides Distance Learning Support

In this time of so much uncertainty in our society, one thing is certain for families of the Valle Lindo School District – the District is here to support you.

VLSD kicked off the 2020-2021 school year last week with a Distribution Drive Thru to distribute materials and supplies families and students will need for the upcoming school year. Board members, administrators, teachers, staff, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends came together to help make this event a success.

Parents complimented the VLSD team for the exceptional organization of the event. Board Member Veronica Castillo was on site to distribute supplies and praised both the staff and the families reminding everyone that, “by working together we can do this.”

As families entered the parking area at the District Office, they encountered a series of supply stations. At the first station students received a school mascot folder with all the information they need for the first day of school on August 17. As they drove to the next booth families were greeted by the school principals who issued each student a chromebook laptop. Just before exiting the drive thru students received their books, a school mascot face mask and water bottle, and a bag of school supplies they will need to complete their assignments from home.

Superintendent Lynn Bulgin, was thrilled by the turnout of the families and support of the staff. “I want to thank all of the staff and families that came together to make this event a great success for our students. We look forward to what this new year brings and the variety of learning experiences we will have together.”
