South El Monte Patriotic Commission Vacancy Open

The City of South El Monte is accepting applications for a vacant seat on the city’s Patriotic Commission. Officials will accept applications through Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 5 p.m., according to a public notice released this week.

The opening offers residents a chance to serve on the advisory body, which provides guidance to the City Council on matters related to patriotism and civic recognition. The commission often supports events and programs honoring active-duty service members and veterans in South El Monte.

Patriotic Commission Application Deadline Set

City officials stated that applications must be submitted in person or by mail. The city will not accept electronic submissions. Interested residents may pick up an application Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Reception Desk at City Hall, 1415 Santa Anita Ave.

Applicants may also download forms from the city’s website at https://www.cityofsouthelmonte.org/241/City-Commissions. Completed applications must be returned to the Reception Desk or mailed to City Hall before the March 5 deadline.
