The *Housing For All Scholarship*, managed by the Rio Hondo Community Development Corporation (RHCDC), approaches its final application deadline of Wednesday, May 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM. This scholarship is aimed at supporting students who face financial challenges, helping them continue their education without having to choose between basic necessities and academic fees.
Aiding Education Amid Financial Hardships
Kenneth Ferreira, Executive Director of RHCDC, explained the purpose behind the scholarship. “For many, the choice between buying food or paying tuition is very real. I know. I’ve been there. This program is about saying, ‘You don’t have to choose.’ If you’re committed to your education, so are we.”
The scholarship offers three awards, each worth $2,000, which can be used towards tuition, books, or training-related expenses. While preference is given to students residing in El Monte, South El Monte, Rosemead, and Baldwin Park, all low-income applicants are encouraged to apply. The aim is to provide a substantial push to students in need to ensure they can pursue their educational goals without financial strain.
Scholarship Deadline Approaches
As the scholarship deadline approaches, eligible students including high school seniors, current college attendees, vocational trainees, and non-traditional learners, are urged to apply as soon as possible. Applications must be completed in full as incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
