The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society is operating under modified conditions as construction continues at its longtime campus in San Gabriel. San Gabriel Valley Humane Society remains open and continues providing essential animal care services while directing residents to updated resources for pet licensing, lost pets and assistance.
The organization announced the temporary operational changes to help visitors navigate construction while maintaining access to key services. Officials said community members can still search for animals currently in the shelter’s care, obtain pet licenses and contact staff for assistance through online resources and dedicated phone lines.
San Gabriel Valley Humane Society Services Continue
Despite the construction, the humane society remains committed to serving pet owners and animals throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Residents looking for a lost pet are encouraged to view animals currently housed at the facility through the organization’s online listings before calling for additional assistance.
Pet owners who need to license their dogs or complete other licensing requirements may also access those services online while construction is underway.
The humane society asks anyone with general questions or service needs to call (626) 286-1159 during normal business hours. Animal emergencies should be reported to (909) 594-9858.
According to the organization, operating hours remain unchanged. The facility is closed on Sundays and open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Facility Improvements Underway
While the organization did not provide a timeline for completing the project, officials thanked residents for their patience as work continues to improve the campus. The construction is intended to enhance the facility while allowing staff to continue caring for animals and assisting the public throughout the renovation process.
The humane society encouraged residents to use its online resources for the fastest access to information during the construction period. Visitors can find adoptable and sheltered animals, pet licensing information and other services through the organization’s website.
The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society has served local communities for decades by providing animal sheltering, adoptions, licensing and public education. It also works with residents to reunite lost pets with their families and promote responsible pet ownership throughout the region.
Community members planning to visit the campus should be aware of the modified operations and follow posted directions when arriving at the facility. Staff members remain available to answer questions and connect residents with available services while construction continues.
For additional information about available services, lost pets and pet licensing, residents can visit the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society’s website at https://www.sgvhumane.org or follow the organization’s official social media pages for updates on construction and operations.
The temporary changes are intended to minimize disruptions while allowing the humane society to continue serving animals and pet owners across the San Gabriel Valley during the improvement project.
