In the aftermath of the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Rize Credit Union has stepped up to assist with recovery and rebuilding efforts in affected communities, introducing a range of supportive measures including limited-edition apparel, direct donations, and a unique financial product aimed at aiding relief efforts.

Rize’s initiative gives local residents and members several ways to contribute, from purchasing LA Strong branded apparel to participating in an innovative financial program that benefits the wildfire recovery process.

The LA Strong collection features pullover and zip-up hoodies as well as trucker hats, with prices starting at $30. Notably, 100% of the proceeds from these sales will be directed towards local wildfire recovery efforts. The apparel can be purchased directly from the Rize Credit Union website.

For those who prefer a monetary way to help, Rize is also facilitating direct donations through its website. Every dollar donated is tax-deductible and will go directly towards rebuilding and recovery initiatives.

Additionally, Rize has adapted its 24-month Impact Certificate, a financial product that typically benefits various causes. The certificate now includes an option to support California Wildfire Relief. Participants in this program earn a competitive 3% Annual Percentage Yield (APY), and Rize contributes an additional 2% to a choice of causes, now including wildfire relief. This allows members of the community to make an impact without direct out-of-pocket expenses.

Jennifer Oliver, president and CEO of Rize Credit Union, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting the community during these challenging times. “As Los Angeles begins to recover from the devastating impact of the wildfires, we felt it was crucial to offer additional ways for our members and the larger community to support those directly impacted, as well as the rebuilding efforts,” Oliver stated.

Rize’s ongoing support efforts also include hosting essential item donation drives, providing branch locations as temporary community workspaces, and maintaining a dedicated hotline for members who need emergency financial relief due to the wildfires.

For residents of El Monte, South El Monte, Baldwin Park, Rosemead, and Irwindale, the efforts by Rize Credit Union represent a tangible way to contribute to the recovery and show solidarity with those affected by the wildfires. Community members who wish to participate in the recovery efforts can find more information and get involved by visiting RizeCU.com/SupportLA. Whether it’s through purchasing apparel, making a donation, or investing in an Impact Certificate, every little bit helps in the collective effort to rebuild and restore the impacted areas.
