The Mountain View School District recently hosted its first Virtual Recognition Night of the 2022-23 school year, honoring employees of the year from the Food Services Department, Maintenance Department, Transportation Department, Preschool Programs and the District Office. Board of Education Members, District Administrators, staff and families joined the virtual celebration to recognize the well-deserving honorees.

Honored as Classified Employees of the Year were Roxane De La Cerda, Lead Food Service Worker; Jose Mendez, Maintenance Worker III; Ana Cazares, Bus Driver; Jessica Nunez, Sub/Caller Receptionist; and Veronica Scheithauer, Preschool Program Governance/Family Involvement Specialist. Recognized as Certificated Employees of the Year from the District’s Preschool Programs were Brenda Lopez, Head Start Teacher and Maria Leticia Cardenas, Early Head Start Teacher.
“Thank you all for your incredible service to our students and families,” said Adam Carranza, Board of Education President. “As a Board, we are powered by your dedication, love and incredible work. Congratulations to each of you on your well-deserved award.”

District Superintendent, Dr. Raymond Andry expressed his appreciation to the honorees. “Each one of you is a shining example of our District’s mission and your work inspires our students daily,” said Andry. “Whether ensuring students receive nutritious meals, safely transporting them to and from school, maintaining safe and secure campuses, scheduling substitutes, providing resources for families or teaching our youngest students, your dedication and support truly make school a wonderful experience for our students.”
