Holiday spirit in Baldwin Park took center stage as thousands of residents gathered on December 6 for the city’s annual Holiday Parade and Winterfest. The full-day celebration transformed Baldwin Park into a seasonal scene filled with music, snow and family activities.

Parade Opens the Celebration

Festivities began at 9:45 a.m. along Baldwin Park Boulevard, where families lined the street for the Holiday Parade. Floats, marching bands and community groups brought color and sound to the route between Olive Street and Ramona Boulevard. This year’s Grand Parade Marshal, Telemundo 52 meteorologist Michelle Trujillo, greeted attendees and helped energize the crowd. Trujillo, a two-time Emmy Award winner, has been recognized for her work promoting heart health within the Latino community.

A special appearance from Santa Claus wrapped the parade with cheers from young spectators. City officials said the parade remains one of Baldwin Park’s strongest community traditions, drawing families from throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

Winterfest Delivers Seasonal Fun

The holiday spirit in Baldwin Park carried into Morgan Park, where Winterfest continued from noon to 5 p.m. Snow play areas gave children a chance to enjoy winter scenes rarely found in Southern California. A holiday boutique, seasonal crafts and themed bounce houses kept families engaged throughout the afternoon. New additions, including live reindeer and a festive petting zoo, drew steady crowds and became some of the most photographed attractions of the day.

City staff also hosted an awards ceremony honoring the Sweepstakes-winning marching band and top parade entries. Organizers said these recognitions help highlight the work of local schools and community groups that contribute to the event each year.

Community Pride On Display

Mayor Alejandra Avila praised the efforts of staff and volunteers who produced the event. She said the holiday spirit in Baldwin Park thrives when residents gather, support local groups and celebrate together. The press release notes that the city partners with many organizations to bring Winterfest to life, creating a space where families can build memories close to home.

Admission to both the parade and Winterfest was free, and city officials encouraged the community to stay connected through upcoming seasonal programs.

Holiday spirit in Baldwin Park continues to reflect the city’s commitment to community pride and shared traditions. With snow, music and warm energy, Winterfest delivered a festive start to the season.
