The El Monte community came together in a sea of colors, beats, and interpretive dance during the annual El Monte Union Performing Arts Indoor Showcase, held on March 3 at the El Monte High School gym. Dozens of students from all five El Monte Union comprehensive high schools displayed their creative talents, dazzling a packed house of friends and family, who responded with applause, foot stomps and cheers. Among the groups performing were color guards, drill teams, cheer squads, wind ensembles, drumlines and percussionists.
