Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park has named Brian Richardson, MHA, FACHE, as its new chief operating officer. Brian Richardson Joins Kaiser marks a leadership transition for one of the San Gabriel Valley’s largest health care providers as the organization continues to focus on operational excellence and patient-centered care.
Richardson joined Kaiser Permanente in 2015 and most recently served as chief operating officer at Moreno Valley Medical Center. In that role, he oversaw hospital operations, utilization management, perioperative services and support services. He also led teams through major capital projects and other complex operational challenges while maintaining a focus on patient care and hospital readiness.

Richardson said his leadership approach centers on collaboration and supporting the physicians, nurses and staff who provide care throughout the medical center. Kaiser Permanente officials said his experience building strong operational systems will help strengthen patient services while supporting employees across the Baldwin Park campus.
Before leading operations in Moreno Valley, Richardson held support services leadership positions throughout Orange County and San Bernardino County. He began his Kaiser Permanente career as an administrative fellow, gaining experience in both hospital and medical group operations.
Richardson earned a Master of Health Administration from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Utah Valley University.

Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park serves thousands of members throughout the eastern San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities. The medical center provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and specialty services for local residents.
