Circus Vargas Coming To Arcadia

by | Jan 30, 2026 | Arcadia

Circus Vargas will bring its newest production, Masquerade, to Arcadia early next year, setting up its Big Top at Santa Anita Park for a limited engagement scheduled from Feb. 5 through Feb. 16, 2026.

The nationally touring circus is set to open Thursday, Feb. 5, with a 7 p.m. performance at Santa Anita Park, located at 285 W. Huntington Drive. The Arcadia stop is part of Circus Vargas’s 2026 tour and is expected to draw families from across the San Gabriel Valley.

Masquerade continues Circus Vargas’s long-standing approach of presenting a traditional big top circus centered on human performance. The two-hour show features aerialists, acrobats, jugglers, and daredevils performing choreographed routines beneath the tent. The company does not include animal acts in its productions.

According to the circus, the Masquerade theme leans into visual storytelling, elaborate costumes, and stylized stage design meant to evoke mystery and theatrical flair. Organizers describe the show as family-friendly and suitable for all ages, with intermissions built into the program.

Circus Vargas is a California-based traveling circus founded in 1969. It remains one of the largest tented circuses still touring in the United States and regularly stages multi-week runs at major venues, including racetracks and fairgrounds.

Tickets, Showtimes, And Local Impact

Tickets for the Arcadia engagement are available through the official Circus Vargas website and ticketing platforms. Prices typically start at about $25, with reserved seating, premium sections, and VIP packages offered for select performances. Showtimes vary by date, with evening shows on weekdays and both matinee and evening options on weekends.

Santa Anita Park has hosted touring entertainment events alongside its racing calendar, and the Circus Vargas engagement adds another seasonal attraction for residents in Arcadia and neighboring communities such as Temple City, Monrovia, and El Monte. Organizers recommend arriving early to allow time for parking, security checks, and seating under the tent.

The circus’s extended stay allows multiple opportunities for attendance during the Presidents Day weekend, a period that often draws higher turnout from families and school-aged children.

Circus Vargas officials note that the Arcadia stop is part of a broader Southern California tour schedule. Additional information, including performance times and ticket options, is available at https://circusvargas.com.

With its combination of classic circus artistry and modern production elements, Masquerade is positioned as a major winter entertainment option for San Gabriel Valley residents looking for a live, family-oriented experience close to home.
