The City of Temple City, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, will host a Neighborhood Watch meeting for Area 10 on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Cleminson Elementary School, 5213 Daleview Ave.

The event will bring residents together with local law enforcement and the city’s public safety team to discuss community safety, crime trends, and emergency preparedness. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet their neighbors and the deputies who serve their area. A free dinner will be provided to all attendees.

Focus on Safety and Community Connection

Neighborhood Watch meetings are a cornerstone of Temple City’s public safety strategy, designed to strengthen communication between residents and law enforcement. Representatives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will share current information on local crime activity and offer practical advice on how residents can protect themselves and their property.

Public Safety staff will also present updates on citywide preparedness efforts, encouraging neighbors to work together in building a safer, more informed community.

Strengthening Local Engagement

Temple City’s Neighborhood Watch program is organized into geographic “Areas” throughout the city, each hosting regular meetings to address local concerns and promote collaboration. The Area 10 meeting serves residents near Cleminson Elementary and surrounding neighborhoods, but all community members are welcome to attend.

According to city officials, the goal of each session is to empower residents with knowledge and resources to prevent crime and respond effectively during emergencies. The meetings also serve as a direct channel for residents to share feedback and ask questions about safety in their neighborhoods.

Community Partnerships for a Safer City

City leaders continue to emphasize the importance of civic participation in maintaining a secure community. Through partnerships between residents, the Sheriff’s Department, and Temple City’s Public Safety Division, officials hope to enhance trust and awareness across the city’s neighborhoods.
