REALTORS® Embrace AI to Improve Service

by | Oct 4, 2025 | Real Estate

Artificial intelligence is making its way into the real estate industry, and REALTORS® are adopting it at a fast pace. A new report from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) shows that 41 percent of REALTORS® are now using AI or generative AI tools in their work. The shift is helping agents save time and provide stronger service to clients.

How REALTORS® Are Using AI
Among those who have embraced AI, one in five REALTORS® use it daily. Another 22 percent report weekly use, while 27 percent turn to AI tools a few times each month. The survey found that half of agents using AI described its impact on their business as positive—17 percent called it significantly positive and 33 percent moderately positive.

The most popular tools include ChatGPT, used by 58 percent of REALTORS®. Other platforms gaining traction are Gemini at 20 percent, Copilot at 15 percent, Apple Intelligence at 8 percent, and Grok at 5 percent. Agents report using AI for tasks ranging from drafting listing descriptions to organizing client communications.

Adapting to New Technology
While 32 percent of REALTORS® have yet to adopt AI, NAR officials noted that the industry has a history of quickly adapting to new technology. Digital platforms, virtual tours, and online transaction systems have already reshaped the way homes are marketed and sold. AI, experts say, is the next stage in that transformation.

AI’s Potential to Reshape the Market
Beyond copywriting and marketing, AI holds promise for tackling some of real estate’s most time-consuming challenges. Scheduling, contract management, and document review are areas where AI can streamline workflows. Tools that automatically flag compliance issues, track key dates, and draft preliminary contracts could free REALTORS® to spend more time working directly with clients.

AI-driven analytics may also transform how agents advise buyers and sellers. Predictive models that process neighborhood trends, mortgage data, and household demographics could help identify up-and-coming markets before they boom. For property managers, AI could assist in maintenance tracking, lease enforcement, and even tenant screening, using data responsibly to speed up processes while maintaining fairness.

In the long term, AI may change how transactions close. By reducing bottlenecks in escrow and title review, these tools could shorten timelines from accepted offer to final sale. For REALTORS® in communities like El Monte and Baldwin Park, where buyers face tight markets and rising costs, time-saving innovations could make homeownership more accessible.

Local Relevance
In communities across the San Gabriel Valley, including El Monte, Baldwin Park, and Temple City, REALTORS® are beginning to use AI to manage listings and improve communication with buyers and sellers. As housing markets remain competitive, tools that can streamline work and provide better client service are expected to become even more valuable.
