Dine El Monte Restaurant Week Debuts

by | Aug 26, 2025 | El Monte

El Monte’s food lovers will have something new to savor this summer as the city launches its first-ever Dine El Monte Restaurant Week. The event, designed to highlight the community’s diverse culinary landscape, will run from Monday, August 25 through Monday, September 1, 2025, and feature exclusive menus at price points aimed at encouraging locals to explore.

Celebrating Local Flavors

Organized by the City of El Monte, Dine El Monte Restaurant Week shines a spotlight on the city’s dining scene, from family-run eateries to quick-service favorites. Participating restaurants will offer special menus during lunch and dinner service, with options priced at $15, $25, and $35 or higher. The event highlights both dine-in and carryout meals, providing flexibility for residents and visitors.

“This is about celebrating the flavors of El Monte,” the city said in its announcement. “Our chefs and restaurant owners represent the heart of the community, and this week gives everyone a chance to enjoy their creativity at an accessible price.”

How It Works

Unlike other food festivals, no ticket purchase or wristband is required. Residents and visitors can simply visit a participating restaurant, request the Dine El Monte menu, and place their order. Each location sets its own hours and menu availability, and some menus may change based on ingredient supply. Beverages, tax, and gratuity are not included in the set price points.

Due to expected demand, the city recommends making reservations directly with restaurants, though walk-ins will be accepted as seating allows. A full list of participants and menus is available through the city’s promotional materials.

Supporting Local Businesses

The launch of Dine El Monte Restaurant Week reflects a broader effort to support small businesses and spotlight the culinary talent in the community. For restaurant owners, it provides a chance to showcase signature dishes or introduce new offerings. For diners, it is a chance to explore the city’s expanding food culture without traveling far from home.

With a wide variety of cuisine options, the week-long event aims to draw attention to El Monte’s growing reputation as a dining destination in the San Gabriel Valley. Local leaders hope this tradition will continue in years to come, expanding the reach of restaurants and encouraging even more participation from the community.
